About Sunshine Giving
Adding a little sunshine in every family
Our organization is dedicated to bringing joy to those who are less fortunate. We believe that everyone deserves to feel loved and appreciated and we strive to make that a reality through our gift-giving program. With the help of our generous donors and volunteers, we are able to make a positive in the lives of those who need it most.
Our Story
We originally were going to start this project around Christmas 2023. It was Noah Burrill, Grayson Wrenn, and Caidyn Harrington. Caidyn told us that he did not know how much he could help, but we were going to get somewhere with this. Although it seemed like a great idea to everyone, we never acted on it.
Around late May 2024, Caidyn Harrington passed away. We mourned for weeks until we finally remembered that we were going to do this with him. Noah and Grayson got on a call and Noah told Grayson that we need to do this. Grayson agreed and felt that we owed it to him. After electing two of our other friends to help us turn this dream into a reality, we have finally got the ball rolling, and trying to complete what was once a dream.
Caidyn Harrington
Joshua Caidyn Harrington, a 15-year-old from Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on May 27, 2024. Born on November 18, 2008, he enjoyed living in Alabaster and was a student at Thompson High School. Caidyn was known for his outgoing nature and deep love for his family and friends. He found joy in playing baseball, hunting deer, and spending quality time with his friends. Caidyn's playful personality always brought smiles and made everyone around him a better person, and he approached life with a loving and adventurous spirit.After Caidyns passing Noah Burrill, Grayson Wrenn, Jessi Scott and John lightsey got together to honor Caidyns Legacy. Caidyn made everyone around him a better person and our team at Sunshines Giving plan to do the same by giving to those in need and bring the same smiles and joy that Caidyn brought to us to those in need. Caidyn Harrington made an impact on countless lives during his time on this earth Caidyn inspired us to create Sunshines Giving to make an impact on peoples lives who need it.
